APS Basic Series: Boost Your Productivity with Quiet, Efficient, and Cost-Effective Screw Compressors

The belt-driven machines of Airpress APS Basic series are the classic solutions within our extensive screw compressor group, further enhanced for improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption (the G2 models). Thanks to their intuitive controls, these quietest in their class devices are very easy to operate and maintain, while their compact design ensures easy adaptation to various operating conditions.

The APS Basic Compressors: Overview of the Series

The APS Basic compressors are available in Mini, Mini IVR, and Maxi versions which differ in operating pressure ranges, air outputs, and microprocessor controllers. The APS Basic Mini and APS Basic Mini IVR models are 10-bar compressors with the motor powers ranging from 3 to 10 HP (2.2-7.5 kW) and the free air delivery rates of up to 1000 l/min. They differ by control panels (a simple On/Off for APS Basic Mini and a more sophisticated ES 4000 Connect for APS Basic Mini). The APS Basic Mini IVR models are equipped with inverter starters that enable intelligent motor speed regulation to optimize energy consumption. As their name suggests, the APS Basic Maxi compressors are more powerful devices (7.5-20 HP or 5.5-15 kW) with a maximum pressure ranging from 8 to 13 bar. They provide the air output of up to 1860 l/min and are equipped with ES 4000 Basic control panels.

APS Basic compressors are offered as stand-alone units for custom configuration or as ready-to-use units with an air receiver and an air dryer.

Key features

  • Assembled in the European Union on an automated production line under the supervision of quality control specialists to guarantee robust construction and high reliability.
  • The belt-drive transmission means easy maintenance, quieter operation, and a better purchase price, while also allowing for pressure and speed adjustments by changing or replacing pulleys.
  • Thanks to the use of increased-capacity screw modules, the second-generation models (G2) produce up to 15% more compressed air with approximately 12% lower electricity consumption than their predecessors.
  • Equipped with IE3 energy class motors that operate with significantly less heating and refrigerant systems for heat recovery, these compressors lose much less energy.
  • Can operate at ambient temperatures of up to 46°C.
  • The quietest compressors in their class with low vibration level, thanks to a high-grade protective enclosure that reduces noise levels to 61-69 dB(A).
  • All models with a motor power of 5.5 HP or more come with a star-delta starting module as standard, which reduces voltage spikes by mitigating the operating current during start-up, thereby preventing motor failure and overloading of the electricity supply.

Applications

The motor power of the APS Basic models ranges from 3 to 20 HP (2.2 to 15 kW), making this screw compressor series fully tailored to the needs of mechanical and automotive workshops (including tyre repair workshops), paint workshops, as well as small and medium-sized production facilities.
